The Grime Originals Show – Season One Episode Five
The Grime Originals Show is back with its 5th instalment of the series featuring interviews and performances from Ten Dixon and Narst aka Lil Nasty.
The show starts of with an electric performance of some unreleased tunes from Ten Dixon’s new album which should be coming out some time soon. Ten chose to perform “Nobody Else” and “Very Intense” both produced by Danio, Ten puts mad energy into it and shows us what he is all about on the mic. We then get a chat between Ten Dixon and Sharky as he goes into what’s been going on in the music, his brand new album, lockdown and his history in the music scene speaking on his roots in Grime and first meeting Sharky at Radar Radio back in the day.
We then get a high energy performance from Narst playing some of his newer material that has come together through Cant Dodge The Smoke which has been used a lot recently to bring in newer artists and set up various collaborations recently. Narst picked “Sketch” and “Rakataka” as his tunes to play on this episode coming in with some deep subjects and serious energy on these tracks with some hard instrumentals to go along with it, both tunes feature production from Mercury beats. Narst then joins Sharky for a chat and speaks deeply on his creative process when it comes to making music, he explains how he has strayed away from writing and has become more of an in the moment artist who goes into the booth and creates how he feels through moods and feelings. He then speaks on his artist development company Cant Dodge The Smoke which he has been using to help bring up new Mc’s and Rappers in the game. He also goes into the works between CDTS and Grime Originals and how they have been supporting since CDTS first became a big movement in the scene.
