South London bred UK rap royalty Nolay fortifies that “it’s not over yet” as she unleashes yet another fiery freestyle – ‘Hate Me’.
Her latest offering comes straight off the back of a series of tracks forged against fellow female UK rapper Trillary Banks. The pair have been entangled in a public beef for the last few weeks firing brazen diss tracks back and forth between each other.
Hate Me comes as yet another round of ammunition from Nolay following her preceding red-hot war dubs aimed at Banks – ‘Corn’ and ‘Choke On My Name’. The video, directed by SP(@sp_visuals_) is the perfect visual narration that Lay is not letting up anytime soon. The rap matron is seen in various locations accompanied by masked up males – one being a studio featuring blue and red flashing lights, a suggestive reference to police sirens.
She divulges “My rivals are dying out now, ain’t karma sweet? I’m just getting started, I ain’t for the faint hearted”. Nolay’s inarguable energy enhances Nicknamez menacing production, and evidently solidifies her uppermost status as an artist, with many labelling her as ‘The Queen of UK rap’. To conclude, both Lay’s pen game and work rate is without a doubt not one to be underestimated, with fans of both herself and Banks left wondering if the saga will continue.
Nolay took to Twitter to sound off about her recent decision to release her music via her own YouTube channel – “Glad I put my most recent videos on my own channel…feels good to see money steadily growing off of monetisation. #Opportunist”.
