Grime legend Flow Dan has dropped cold EP “Black Rain” alongside former Aftershock Crew member Snowman Baby.
After releasing bassline-heavy track “Trenches”, the SpentShell artist teamed up with Abstrakt Sonance once again a year on from their last collaboration together, to produce the five-track EP.
Both MCs pair up in harmony together with Flow Dan’s iconic flow and Snowman Baby’s no nonsense approach.
The project opens up with Big Dilema where Snowman Baby spits a bunch of word play and depicts the current situations with some Covid references “Man don’t care about Covid still give man the jab like Bruno”.
“Black Mask” gives a wavey uplifiting vibe with jumpy synths and alien laser sounds.
The beats are dark and skippy throughout with some greazy basslines in “Nine Night” along with some drill influence in “Front Page”, which is a personal favourite of mine.
The EP is wrapped up with some greazy eerie riddims and flows for “Shooting Range”.
