We have a lot to thank MC Badness for. He is perhaps one of the originators of the Birmingham circuit, acting as a catalyst for the boom of West Midlands MCs stepping up to the mic. Badness and his unbreakable pen game first came to light through the Drum and Bass scene, before conquering Grime, earning his stripes as one of the OG Grime dons of his time.
The Birmingham hailing heavy-hitter is back once more with a fresh new joint dubbed "Pride & Joy", equipped with crisp visuals to compliment the track.
We've seen Badness form an alliance with some of the scenes most talked about talents, including Jammer and Devilman, but there's something about his solo work that just hits different. The charismatic MC holds his own and delivers heaps of unbreakable content.
"Pride & Joy" sees Brum Towns Badness link up with production wizard Moshino Royale, for a deep, layered riddim which matches the spitters eclectic flows perfectly. The hard-hitting instrumental sits poised in between an indelible structure of bars, and a contagious hook - each element ties together to create a slick joint.
Watch Badness rep his hometown in the clean-cut visual production.
